How to Cancel Google Play Subscriptions
Start in Google Play with the Google Account that bought the subscription. Cancel there, then check the end date. Removing the app from your phone does not stop a subscription.

The subscription is not in the list
Compare the account on the email receipt with the account selected in Google Play. A different Google Account can have a different subscription list. If Apple or the provider bills you directly, use that billing route instead.
Keep a note of the merchant name, last charge and account you checked. That record helps you avoid checking the same account repeatedly or canceling the wrong plan. Do not share your password or full card number to identify a service.
Check access and the next charge
For a paid subscription, Google generally lets you use the time already purchased after cancellation. Refund eligibility is a separate question. Review the access date shown for your own plan.
Put that date in your renewal list and compare the next statement with your confirmation. If an unexpected charge appears, check the biller and account before assuming it belongs to the plan you just canceled.
